Same here. First I thought it was because she was one of the 3 he raised but I remember that when he joined them, he wouldn't eat either. Only when he's alone with her.
I really hurt for her when she realised he had just left her behind and didn't even visit her afterwards.
I don't think he really loves or loves anymore Jiang Bilan. Maybe he's using her to keep her dad close? Maybe hes sentimental towards the past, after yearning for her for so long. And she loves him but doesn't know anything about him. Their love seems doomed.
